Karr's Reef Goldmine Tours
A fully guided gold history tour of Yackandandah run by local guide Greg. The tour starts by 4WD from where gold was first found along Commissioner's Creek, then finishes underground at the heritage protected Karr's Reef mine, worked from 1867 to 1884. Inside you can still see pick marks on the dirt walls and core holes from black powder blasting, walk the length of the quartz reef and see remaining gold in the rock. Tours run on demand and are booked by phone or email.
