Ovens Murray, Victoria

Ovens Murray runs from the Murray River at Wodonga up into the alpine country around Bright, Mount Beauty and Falls Creek. Wodonga and Wangaratta are the main centres, with Beechworth, Rutherglen and the King Valley carrying the wine and tourism trade. Work here is freight along the Hume Freeway, timber, cattle, grape growing and a long winter snow season. It is the Victorian half of the Albury Wodonga cross border market, so most trades quote jobs in both states.
