What to use each route for
A detail on a listing is wrong
Use the correction form on the data and corrections page. It asks for the listing URL, what is wrong, what it should be and where we can confirm it, which is everything needed to fix it in one pass instead of three emails. Corrections are checked against the source you give and fixed or explained within five business days.
You own the business and want control of the listing
Start at the claim page. Claiming is free, permanently. Use the contact form here only if a claim has stalled or the listing does not exist yet.
You want a listing taken down
Say so and it comes down. Choose Remove a listing below, give the URL, and confirm you are connected to the business. No reason is required, nothing is charged, and nobody will argue with you. The page is removed within two business days and the URL redirects to the category it sat in, so old links do not end up on an error page.
Media, research or data requests
Journalists and researchers can have the numbers behind any data block on the site, including how they were computed and what the sample was. Choose Media and name the pages you are working from. Attribution to LocalsKnow is appreciated and a link is better, but neither is a condition.
Advertising and sponsorship
Read the advertising policy first. It is short and it lists exactly what can and cannot be bought. If what you want is on the second list, the answer will be no, and saying it here saves us both a meeting.
