Chiltern-Mt Pilot National Park
This 21,636 hectare national park stretches between Beechworth and the low hills around Chiltern, protecting box ironbark country and a landscape shaped by gold mining. A short walk leads to the 545 metre Mount Pilot summit and a 360 degree view of the surrounding countryside, with Mount Buffalo visible on clear days. Yeddonba is an important Aboriginal site with original rock art, and the Mount Pilot area holds cultural significance for the Yorta Yorta Peoples.
