Chiltern Athenaeum Museum
Built in 1866, the Chiltern Athenaeum on Conness Street is one of the region's most notable historic buildings and now holds a local history museum. The collection runs from goldfields era books and memorabilia to artworks and historic artefacts, with displays on notable locals including former Prime Minister Sir John McEwen and the author Henry Handel Richardson. It opens Wednesdays and Sundays from 10am to 3pm.
