Lake Sambell
Lake Sambell is a recreation reserve a short stroll from the centre of Beechworth, created in the 1920s out of the Rocky Mountain Mining Company's open cut sluice workings from the gold rush. There is a sandy beach swimming area with an adventure playground beside it, walking tracks through the reserve, two electric barbecues, picnic tables and seating. The Murray to the Mountains Rail Trail passes through the reserve.
