The Thurgoona Football & Netball Club, the Bulldogs, plays out of Thurgoona Oval on Table Top Road, known locally as The Kennel. It fields five male football teams from Under 12s to open age in the Tallangatta & District Football League, eight netball teams from Under 11s to open age in the Tallangatta & District Netball Association, and four female football teams in the AFL North East Border competition. The club is a not for profit set up to give the community sporting, social and recreation opportunities, with a strong focus on junior development.
