Monument Hill
Monument Hill is Albury's most prominent viewing point, at the western end of Dean Street and reached via Memorial Drive. On top stands the Albury and District War Memorial, a 100-foot reinforced concrete obelisk unveiled on Anzac Day 1925 and paid for by public subscription. The surrounding bushland reserve has walking tracks, picnic tables, seating, a drinking fountain, public toilets and commemorative plaques, and wildflowers including terrestrial orchids appear in spring and summer.
